This retreat is all about resting. Taking time to do nothing at all. During the retreat we’ll have the opportunity to discover the seven different types of rest, and to put some - if not all - into practice.
But really, this is a chance to lie down and not do very much of anything. To give our bodies the chance to recuperate, to show ourselves some care and attention. To nourish ourselves.
Our sessions will be: mindfulness meditation; yoga nidra (deep relaxation); workshops discussing rest and a sharing circle. We will have the chance to walk in the local area. And plenty of time to do nothing - to journal, to rest. To be.
We will be retreating to a beautiful spot, not far from Edinburgh (near Ratho). It’s in peaceful surroundings, and there are walks we can go on directly from the accommodation.
We will be staying in comfortable rooms, with a central point to gather in. There is a separate studio for our practices, which is quiet and secluded - the perfect place to unwind. This will be an exclusive retreat with a maximum of 7 people.
The retreat runs from Friday 8th November at 4pm to Sunday 10th November at 4pm. Retreatants are responsible for their own travel arrangements, although if you’re keen to car share let me know and we’ll see if we can make this work.
Please note that it's not possible to bring pets on retreat.
